Hope for Change

The election of Barak Obama is the first step toward changing the direction of our country's history. The following steps are not his alone to take; they are steps we must all take. It is important for each citizen to take steps to change from disinterested self-centered living for self, toward servant living for the good of others and for the nation. President Kennedy put this into words when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." The hope for change that President elect Obama has announced needs to be internalized within the people so that we can recover and reestablish a government, "of the people, by the people, and for the people." For too long we have been a government "of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy." Go Obama! Go all those who heard his challenge and voted for him!
